Le Plagne and Les Arcs are the two principal snow board and ski areas of Paradiski in the Tarentaise Valley which is linked by the Vanoise Express, a double decker cable car.
With no fewer than 425 kilometres of skiing on 264 runs and a maximum altitude of 3,250 metres there is plenty of scope for all levels of snowboard and ski enthusiasts.
Coming to prominence in the 1960`s the two locations of Les Arcs and Le Plagne operated independently until the inception of the Vanoise Express in 2003.
Les Arcs is also connected to Bourg Saint Maurice by a funicular.

'The Worlds Most Popular Ski Area' is made up of seven ski villages, 1800, Plagne Centre, Plagne Villages, Belle Plagne, Aime 2000 and Plagne Bellecote.
Les Arcs
Les Arcs is made up of 5 ski areas, 1600, 1800, 1950, 2000 and Peisey Vallandry. The resort can also be accessed from the below town of Bourg Saint Maurice via the Funicular.
Les Coches
Situated at 1,450 metres Les Coches offers a quieter more family oriented location than some of the larger more renowned resorts.
Montchavin
Montchavin is a delightful village at 1,250 metres with the bars, restaurants, shops and equipment suppliers needed for an enjoyable stay. Being much smaller than the larger better known resorts, Montchavin has a family friendly ambience and yet still has facilities such as a cinema and well-being facility with a pool, jacuzzi and sauna.
Peisey
Sitting at 1,600 metres, Peisey is part of the Les Arcs ski area. As a relatively small resort Peisey and the nearby Vallandry offer a warm reception to all visitors especially families.

Vallandry is a small family resort in the Les Arcs area next to the resort of Peisey.
