The transfer between Val Thorens and
Geneva airport
Our route on the transfer from Geneva Airport to Val Thorens takes us initially across the border into France where we head south on the A41 in the direction of Annecy. Joining the D909 we carry on south adjacent to the shore of Lake Annecy passing through the towns of Menthon-Saint-Bernard and Tallories before arriving in Doussard. From Doussard we take the D 1508 passing Faverges to Ugine. At Ugine we switch to the D1212 to Albertville from where we take the N90 in the direction of Moutiers passing through La Bathie and Cevins en route. At La Moutiers we take the D117 which takes us through the resort of Les Menuires and then shortly after we arrive in Val Thorens.
The usual time for the transfer from Geneva Airport to Val Thorens is 2 hours and 30 minutes (155 kms) but this assumes good weather and good traffic conditions.

Val Thorens is the highest resort in Europe, the resort sits at 2300m. Val Thorens was named ‘Best French Ski Resort’ by the world travel awards in 2013 and 2014. Its highest skiable piste sits at 3230m and the resort itself has 29 lifts, 68 skiable pistes covering 150km.
Neighbouring resort Les Menuires has 33 lifts, 76 ski slopes and covers 160km of skiable pistes.
Val Thorens & Les Menuires are part of the ‘3 Vallees’ which offers up to 200 lifts, 318 skiable pistes and provides a huge 600km of skiable terrain! Making Les 3 Vallees one of the largest linked ski areas in the world along with neighbouring ‘Paradiski’. If you really wanted a challenge, you can actually link both the 3 Vallees and the Paridiski…ask your driver for more information!
